Project summary

CONTEXT

The occurrence of a hemorrhagic complication after percutaneous coronary intervention is associated with an increased risk of mortality increasing with the severity of the bleeding (BARC 3c > BARC 3b>BARC 3a). The excess risk of mortality induced by the most severe hemorrhagic complications (BARC 3c) is greater than that induced by ischemic complications.

GOALS

To compare the respective impacts on mortality of a hemorrhagic complication and an ischemic complication occurring after initial coronary angioplasty in patients included in the France PCI registry.
