CONTEXT
To date, there is little data on the management and prognosis of STEMI occurring in aneurysmal or ectatic arteries.
In practice, the management of infarctions in aneurysmal or ectatic arteries presents several challenges. On a technical level, revascularization turns out to be more complex. The thrombotic burden is often major and frequently requires specific approaches such as two-stage revascularization strategies (MIMI strategy) or the use of an aggressive anticoagulation regimen including anti-GpIIbIIIa.
GOALS
Describe the characteristics and management of patients with large or ectatic artery STEMI and study the prognosis of these patients.
METHODOLOGY
Identify the differences between STEMI on large arteries and STEMI on standard artery
(differences in epidemiological and clinical data
, d
ifferences in management, differences in procedural complexity, and differences in procedural outcomes).
Search for factors associated with an improvement in one-year prognosis in the large artery STEMI population.
