Project summary

CONTEXT

STEMI represents a major public health issue with significant morbidity and mortality and socio-economic impact.

Life expectancy is increasing over the years, with an increase in the absolute and relative number in the general population of patients aged 80 and over. However, this elderly population is exposed to acute coronary disease and benefits from increasingly interventional care.

Recommendations regarding treatments, revascularization strategies or treatment times are based on studies from which the elderly population is excluded.

GOALS

Compare the delays in revascularization of STEMI in the population >= 80 years vs < 80 years and their impact on mortality (hospital and at one year)

METHODOLOGY

Comparison of mean, median, interquartile range of epidemiological data

Log rank and survival curve according to Kaplan Meier for CJP

Uni/multivariate analysis of the impact of treatment delay/evaluated prognostic factors
